Laarh Agro Industry (Pvt) Ltd was established in January 2019 with the concept of bringing innovation in Inland Fish Farming in Pakistan. Land was purchased for this purpose at Makli, District Thatta Sindh.

Initial survey of various nearby fish farms revealed that farmers were doing conventional farming and getting 300 to 500kg yield per acre. LarGro started trials on “Tilapia” fish and imported fish seed (babies) and feed from Thailand. Initial trials were successful with yield per acre achievement of 3500 to 4000kg in a period of 7 to 8 months. Based on the above trials, Tilapia Fish hatchery has been setup to produce good quality Tilapia Fish seed (babies) for onward supply to local farmers at cheaper price.

To facilitate the above, a memorandum of agreement (MOA) has been signed on 01 November, 2019 between Laarh Agro Industry (Pvt) Ltd and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Thailand for setting up the Tilapia Fish Hatchery in Pakistan, the first hatchery with a capacity to produce 100 million Tilapia seeds (babies) locally, based on modern techniques with the guidance of AIT Thailand.

Vision

LarGro is committed and strives to educate the local farmers to increase per acre production by introducing modern techniques & methods of aqua culture to maximize monetary benefits which will create jobs & increase GDP of Pakistan. Fish is better nutrition and regular use is good for brain health. LarGro is also committed to provide such nutrition by introducing multiple value added products of Tilapia fish such as fillet, nuggets, kofta, samosa, wontons, spring rolls, kabab, seekh kababs, chapli kabab, pakora and many more for its local and international consumers.
